I am an Assistant Professor and Faculty Fellow at the Center for Data Science at New York University. I spent my PhD years in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge, where I was advised by Adrian Weller. I am also a Senior Research Associate at the Alan Turing Institute. My research interests lie in trustworthy machine learning, responsible artificial intelligence, and human-AI collaboration.
My PhD research was funded by the Leverhulme Center for the Future of Intelligence (Trust and Transparency Initiative) with generous donations from Google DeepMind and the Leverhulme Trust. Previously, I was a Summer Fellow at the Center for Research on Computation and Society within Harvard SEAS, a Fellow at the Mozilla Foundation and a Research Fellow at the Partnership on AI. I completed a joint bachelors-masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. I grew up in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, USA.
